How we handle the data you leave in the waiting list form. The site collects a name, an email address and two multiple choice answers, and they are used only to tell you when Bugget opens.

Who handles your data
The data controller is the individual who runs Bugget as a personal project: there is no company behind it yet.
For anything concerning your data, and to obtain the controller's full identification details, write to info@bugget.app. We answer every request.
What we collect
From the form: the name you type (optional), your email address (required), your answers to the two multiple choice questions, and the language of the page you wrote from.
From the server: your IP address, your browser type and the date of the request, recorded automatically by our hosting provider for security and to defend against attacks. We do not use them to identify you and we do not combine them with the form.
Why we collect it
For one thing only: to write to you when the Bugget trial opens to the public, and to send you the guide for exporting your data from the app you use today, if you tell us you use one.
The legal basis is your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) of European Regulation 2016/679. You give it by ticking the box in the form and you can withdraw it whenever you want, without having to explain why.
We do not sign you up for any newsletter and we do not send you advertising.
Who else sees it
The service we use to manage the list and send the email, Brevo, which handles the data on our behalf as a processor and stores it on servers in the European Union.
The service that hosts the site, Cloudflare, which sees the technical connection data described above.
Nobody else. We do not sell your data, we do not pass it to third parties for marketing, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
How long we keep it
Until the trial opens, and in any case no longer than twenty-four months from your sign-up. After the opening email, if you do not become a Bugget user, your address is deleted within three months.
If you withdraw your consent, we delete everything straight away.
Where it is stored
On servers located in the European Union. We do not transfer your data outside the European Economic Area.
Your rights
You can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its use, receive it in a machine readable format, and object to the processing. You can withdraw your consent at any time: withdrawing it does not make what we did before unlawful.
To exercise these rights write to info@bugget.app: we answer within thirty days, usually much sooner.
If you believe we are handling your data improperly you can complain to the Italian data protection authority, garanteprivacy.it, or to the authority of the country where you live.
What we do not do
We take no automated decisions about you, we do no profiling, we do not follow you across other sites.
Bugget is not a banking service, it does not connect to your bank accounts and it does not know your banking credentials. The waiting list form asks for no financial data, and you should not enter any.
If this page changes
The date at the top says when it was last updated. If we change anything substantial before the opening, we will tell you in the same email that announces it.
