A dinner you paid for everyone: 20 euros yours, 22 fronted for a friend. Two lines, and the "who owes me what" balance updates on its own.
Reconcile the card
When you log the statement charge, Bugget compares it with what you wrote down and tells you if something is missing. No wrong automatic guesses.

Export your data from the app you use today as CSV, upload it to Bugget, and the import rebuilds accounts, categories, transfers between accounts and split transactions. For the most common apps we have ready-made profiles that recognise the format; for the others you map the columns once and Bugget remembers. Before it writes anything you get a preview: how many transactions, which accounts, which balances add up and which don't.
Tested on a real archive of 17,000 transactions across eleven years: transfers and split transactions rebuilt, nothing left to fix by hand.
If an account balance doesn't add up, the preview tells you and offers an opening adjustment. You decide, not the algorithm.
Every import can be undone with one click. And your data is always exportable, in CSV and JSON.
Because logging by hand is the point, not the flaw. People who write their spending down look at it; people who download it from the bank ignore it. Bugget is built for those who already have the habit or want to build it, and it never asks for your bank credentials.

Prices per user. Payment by card through Stripe; the invoice arrives by email. You can move between Base and PRO at any time: the difference is calculated on the remaining days.
Your data
It's yours. It stays in Europe. It leaves whenever you want.
Bugget does not connect to your bank and does not know your credentials. What you log sits on servers in the European Union, isolated per workspace, and you can export all of it at any moment. If you close your account, it is deleted within 30 days.
In plain words
What we don't do. We don't access your bank accounts, we don't sell data, we don't show ads.
The assistant. To answer, it reads only the data of the space you ask in, and it always shows you which transactions it considered. Every answer states the period and the accounts included.
If you change your mind. Within 14 days of the first payment you can ask for a refund, as provided by EU consumer law for distance selling. Your data stays exportable afterwards too.

Why don't you connect to my bank like the other apps?
By choice. Bugget is for people who log by hand, because logging means looking. We don't ask for bank credentials and we don't want them. In the future we may add reconciliation from a statement you upload yourself.
Can I import the data from the app I use today?
Yes. Export a CSV from your app and upload the file: Bugget rebuilds accounts, categories, transfers between accounts and transactions split across several categories. For the most common apps the format is recognised automatically; for the others you map the columns the first time. Before importing you see a preview with the balances that add up and the ones that don't, and every import can be undone.
What is the difference between a category and a "for whom / for what" label?
The category says what you bought (Health › Pharmacy). The label says for whom or for what (Noah, the beach house, the Lisbon trip). Keeping them separate avoids duplicating the category tree for every person or property, and lets you ask "how much did I spend on health" and "how much did Noah cost me" of the same archive.
How does the business space work?
It is a second space in the same account, with its own accounts, categories and reports. It is for people who are self-employed or run a small company and want to keep business cash separate from personal cash. It is not accounting software: it does not handle VAT, invoices or fixed assets.
What exactly does the PRO assistant do?
It answers questions about your data ("how much did I spend on food in the last three months", "how much does Tom owe me") showing the transactions it relies on, and it prepares transactions that you confirm with one tap. It has a quota of 300 requests a month, enough for daily use; you can see the usage in your account. Category suggestions as you type do not use the quota.
Does it work without a connection?
Yes. Bugget is a web app you can install on your phone: you can read your data offline and log transactions that sync as soon as the network is back.
Can I share the account with my partner or my accountant?
Not yet. Sharing a space with other people is among the first features planned after launch.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
It stays readable and exportable: the account becomes read-only, it is not deleted. If you close the account, everything is removed within 30 days.
Do the prices include VAT?
Yes. Base costs 4.99 euros a month or 49 euros a year; PRO 19.99 euros a month or 199 euros a year, VAT included. Payment goes through Stripe and the invoice arrives by email.
